World Record Speed Skier Mr. Ross Anderson

Ross Anderson holds the professional record for the fastest downhill skiing at the World Cup for over 20 years. He became an inspiration for tribal people everywhere, as he raced on the slopes with native regalia displayed on his ski gear. He is the founder of Star 154 Foundation which helps native youth have opportunities and resources for winter sports.

Meet Your Indigenous Class Instructor
For 20 years, Ross Anderson has held the record for the fastest downhill skiing at 154.06 miles per hour. He won the World Cup in 2006. He has been inducted into the Native American Hall of Fame for his achievements.
Becoming The Air
Ross Anderson was born out of difficult circumstances, but experienced a childhood that allowed him to test his strength. He found skiing at age 3 and started competing by 6. He was motivated to represent as a Native on the slopes at the World Cup level

Ross has experiences that recall some of the risks that come with the dangerous sport of downhill skiing. He walks us through the mind battles and breathing techniques that help him overcome fear and tune into the mountain.
Building Star 154
Ross Anderson excelled at the highest level in his sport. He developed an outlet for other Native kids to have the opportunity to learn skiing. He started Star 154 Foundation for sport and tribal culture to thrive.
